The 1963, Harmony 303a

The 8 watt Harmony tube amp
is a great recording
and rehearsal amp

This was my very first amp and I played it in 1965-66 at garage dances.
I had a Detroiter 6 string acoustic with a KENT "in hole pickup" and
a Atlas CB mike ran into one of the three inputs for vocals.
I found this particular amp on Ebay as mine was destroyed in the 80s (by UPS)

A guitar, an amp, and Beatles boots, what else did a boy need in 1965

This 8 watt Harmony amp is beauty in simplicity. The Volume control is also the ON/OFF switch
and three different tones are achieved by using one of the three inputs.

The chassis and original Jensen Special Edition 6" speaker of the Harmony amp.

Here is the underneath chassis view
Beside some wire and solder maintainence all I did was added a three prong cord.

There was already a chassis ground provided that the transformer was
connected to, so this is where I attached the Green ground wire of the 3-prong cord.

Here is the schematic as it is pasted on the inside of the amp cabinet.
To bad the major amp manufacturers still don't do this.
Below is a PDF print of the schematic and parts list.

Remember if you are working on this amp you are working on
a 115VAC circuit, so take all precautions.
